The number of job seekers from Turkey in Germany decreased in the first quarter of 2021, the Turkish Employment Agency (ISKUR) told Trend on Apr.14.
Over the reporting period, 468 Turkish citizens visited Germany through the agency to find work, which is a 14.9 percent decline compared to 1Q2020.
Totally, 2,678 Turkish citizens went abroad via the agency, which is 34.3 percent less than from January through March of last year.
In March 2021, 91,267 citizens were provided jobs through this agency in Turkey. Some 31.7 percent of the total number of employed citizens accounted for women and 68.3 percent for men.
Over the reporting month, 98.9 percent of the total number of citizens provided with jobs accounted for the private sector. The number of unemployed in Turkey made up slightly more than 2.6 million people, 47.4 percent of whom are women, and 52.6 percent are men.
