The value of steel exports from Turkey to China soared by 112.4 percent from January through March 2021, compared to the same period of 2020, amounting to $6.76 million, the Ministry of Trade of Turkey told Trend.
In March 2021, steel exports from Turkey to China surged by 119.4 percent compared to March 2020 and topped $2.3 million, the ministry said.
As reported, the value of Turkey’s steel exports abroad in the first quarter of 2021 increased by 22.5 percent over the year, exceeding $3.8 billion.
Turkey exported steel worth over $1.54 billion to international markets in March 2021, and thereby boosting the export volume by 57.7 percent year on year.
Over the past 12 months (from March 2020 to March 2021), Turkey’s exports of steel abroad totaled over $13.3 billion.
