Kazakhstan losing relevance for migrant workers from Turkey

The number of trips of the Turkish citizens to Kazakhstan for employment from January through April 2021 decreased, the General Directorate of the Turkish Employment Agency (ISKUR) told Trend.

The number of the Turkish citizens who visited Kazakhstan through ISKUR for employment decreased by 80.8 percent from January through April 2021 compared to the period from January through April 2020 and reached 82 people.

In general, 3,810 Turkish citizens traveled abroad through ISKUR from January through April 2021, which is by seven percent less than from January through April 2020.

Some 100,369 Turkish citizens were provided with jobs through ISKUR in April.

Some 30.029 percent out of the total number of those employed were women, 70.340 percent were men. At the same time, 99.1 percent of applicants received jobs in the private sector.

The number of unemployed in Turkey reached 2.9 million people in April 2021, 48.3 percent of them are women, 51.7 percent are men.
