The volume of cargo transported through the Turkish Adana Airport amounted to 8,849 tons from January through April 2021, which is 6 percent less compared to the same period of 2020, the Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure of Turkey told Trend.
During this period, the volume of cargo transportation on domestic flights amounted to 7,779 tons (an increase of 8 percent on annual basis), on international - 1,070 tons (a decrease of 50 percent), the ministry said.
“At the same time, the passenger traffic at the airport amounted to 760,271 people, which is a decrease of 28 percent in annual terms. The passenger traffic on domestic flights amounted to 734,548 people (a decrease by 21 percent), on international - 25,723 people (a decrease by 80 percent),” said the ministry.
According to the ministry, the number of flights performed from the airport was 8,885, which is a decrease of in annual circulation. At the same time, the number of flights performed on domestic lines was 8,548 (an increase of 8 percent), on international lines - 337 (a decrease of 71 percent).
In the first 4 months of 2021, the passenger traffic at all airports in Turkey amounted to 23.8 people, and the volume of cargo transportation - 833,242 tons.
