Turkey discloses amount of expenditures on energy projects

BAKU, Azerbaijan, June 12

Turkey's expenditures on the implementation of energy projects will amount to 16.8 billion Turkish liras ($2 billion) by late 2021, the Ministry of Energy and Natural Resources of Turkey told Trend.

By late 2020, this figure was over 44.5 billion liras ($5.31 billion), the ministry added.

According to the ministry, 125 energy projects will be implemented in Turkey by the end of this year.

"For their implementation, Turkey will allocate foreign loans worth over 3.15 billion liras ($376.3 million)," the ministry said.

The ministry also noted that of the 44.5 billion liras allocated in Turkey for the implementation of energy projects in 2020, 16.6 billion liras ($1.98 billion) fell on foreign loans.
