Some 967,963 tons of cargo were transshipped through the Turkish Canakkale port from January through April 2021, the Turkish Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure told Trend.
“The ships flying the Turkish flag transported 10,303 tons of cargo while ships flying the flags of other countries – 957,390 tons,” the ministry said.
"Cargoes were not transited through Canakkale port from January through April 2021," the ministry said.
Thus, 124.9 million tons of cargo were transported through the Turkish ports from January through April 2021.
Some 9.8 million tons of cargo were transported by ships flying the Turkish flag through the local ports.
About 115.1 million tons of cargo were transported by ships flying the flags of other countries through the Turkish ports from January through April 2021.
Moreover, 24.5 million tons of cargo were transited through the Turkish ports during the reporting period.
Some 33.8 million tons of cargo were transported through the Turkish ports in April 2021.
In general, 2.7 million tons of cargo were transported by the ships flying the Turkish flag in April 2021.
At the same time, 31.1 million tons of cargo were transported through the Turkish ports by the ships flying the flags of other countries.
Some 6.4 million tons of cargo were transited through the Turkish ports in April 2021.
