The value of export of ready-made clothes from Turkey to Turkmenistan in the first half of 2021 grew, the Turkish Ministry of Trade told Trend.
According to the ministry, this indicator amounted to over $9.9 million, which is a rise of 1.1 times year on year.
In June 2021, Turkey’s exports of the clothes to Turkmenistan increased by 81.3 percent compared to June 2020, exceeding $1.8 million, the ministry said.
Turkey as a whole increased the export of ready-made clothes by 88.8 percent from January through June 2021 compared to the same period of last year up to $1.2 billion.
In general, Turkey exported clothes worth $1.8 billion in June 2021, which is 34.1 percent more than in the same month of 2020.
Turkey’s export of clothes totaled nearly $19.6 billion during the past 12 months (from June 2020 through June 2021).
