Around 438,415 tons of goods were transshipped through the Turkish ports from Indonesia in the first seven months of 2021, the Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure of Turkey told Trend.
According to the ministry, 2,115 tons of cargo from Indonesia were handled via Turkish ports by ships flying the Turkish flag, and 436,300 tons - by ships flying the flags of other countries.
From January through July of this year, no cargo was shipped by ships flying the Indonesian flag via Turkish ports.
The ministry also said that 377,904 tons of goods from Indonesia were moved in transit through Turkish ports in the reporting period.
Over 219.5 million tons of goods have been transshipped through the Turkish ports from January through July 2021, 17.5 million tons of cargo were handled by ships flying the Turkish flag, and more than 201.9 million tons - by ships flying the flags of other countries.
More than 43.9 million tons of cargo were transited through the Turkish ports in the first seven months of this year.
Furthermore, nearly 31.3 million tons of cargo were transported through the Turkish ports in July 2021.
In the same month, around 2.2 million tons of cargo were transported to the domestic ports via ships flying the Turkish flag while via ships flying the flags of other countries – 29.1 million tons.
Meanwhile, over 6.6 million tons of cargo were transited through the ports.
