Turkey notes growth of steel exports to Iran

The value of steel exports from Turkey to Iran grew by 11.2 percent from January through August 2021, compared to the same period of 2020, reaching $30.9 million, the Turkish Ministry of Trade told Trend.

According to the ministry, in August 2021, Turkey exported steel worth $3.37 million to Iran, down by 7.7 percent compared to August 2020.

Turkey increased steel exports by 68.7 percent from January through August 2021 compared to the same period of 2020 - up to $13.2 billion.

Turkey exported steel worth $2.29 billion in August, which is 1.6 times more than in August 2020.

Over the past 12 months (from August 2020 to August 2021), Turkey’s steel exports amounted to $17.9 billion.
