The value of export of grain and legumes from Turkey to Iran surged in August 2021, the Turkish Trade Ministry told Trend on Sept.22.
According to the ministry, this indicator amounted to $196.9 million, up by 2.6 times on an annual basis.
From January through August 2021, the export of grain and legumes from Turkey to Iran spiked by 4.2 times compared to the same period of 2020, equaling $41.1 million, the ministry said.
Totally, during the reporting period, Turkey has exported grain and legumes worth nearly $5.58 billion to international markets which are 21.2 percent more than in the same period of last year.
Turkey’s export of the mentioned products for August 2021 exceeded $783.1 million, having risen by 43.9 percent more compared to August 2020.
In the last 12 months (from August 2020 to August 2021), Turkey’s exports of grain and legumes amounted to $8.26 billion.
