The Turkish port of Iskenderun received 3,489 ships from January through September 2021, the Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure of Turkey told Trend on October 26.
According to the ministry, during the reporting period 585 ships accepted by the port were under the flag of Turkey, while 2,904 ships were under the flags of other countries.
The ministry reports that Turkish ports received 4,407 vessels in September 2021.
In addition, out of the total number of ships received by the ports, 1,281 were under the flag of Turkey, 3,126 - under the flags of other countries.
It is also noted that the ports of Turkey received 38,304 vessels in 9M2021, including 11,562 - under the flag of Turkey.
Some 26,742 ships were under the flags of other countries.
