The cargo turnover of Istanbul Sabiha Gokcen International Airport in 10M2021 amounted to 231,310 tons, which is 31 percent more compared to the same period last year, the Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure of Turkey told Trend.
According to the ministry, cargo turnover on domestic flights in 10M2021 amounted to 116,548 tons (an increase of 40 percent compared to 10M2020), on international flights - 114,762 tons (24 percent).
It is reported that the passenger traffic at the airport amounted to 20.4 million people, which is 43 percent more than in 10M2020. At the same time, passenger traffic on domestic flights amounted to 13,6 million people (an increase of 38 percent), on international – 6.7 million people (an increase of 54 percent).
According to the ministry, the number of flights operated during the reporting period amounted to 148 612, which is 42 percent more than in the same period last year. At the same time, the number of flights performed on domestic routes accounted for 94,136 (an increase of 36 percent), on international lines - 54,476 (an increase of 55 percent).
Following the results of 10M2021, the passenger traffic at all airports in Turkey amounted to 106.8 million people, and the cargo turnover – 2.8 million tons.
