Turkey registers more companies with Russian capital for 10M2021

The number of companies with Russian capital, registered in Turkey from January through October 2021, grew, the Turkish Chamber of Commerce and Industry (TOBB) told Trend on Nov. 22.

According to TOBB, this figure reached 152 companies, up by 11 on annual basis.

The total capital of the mentioned companies registered in Turkey in the first 10 months of this year exceeded 82.8 million Turkish liras ($7.5 million), rising compared to the same period of 2020 (57 million Turkish liras or $5.1 million).

During the reporting period, most of the companies with Russian capital were registered in Istanbul (88). Their total capital amounted to 55.7 million Turkish liras ($5 million).

Of the total number of registered companies, 72 in wholesale and retail trade, 13 in the industrial sector, 10 in construction, seven in transport and logistics, five in tourism, and another four are engaged in the sale of real estate.

"The rest of the companies with Russian capital are involved in other sectors of the economy," TOBB said.

The aggregate capital of 72 wholesale and retail companies registered from January through October this year amounted to over 24.9 million Turkish liras ($2.2 million).
