Some 5,827 vehicles were delivered from the Turkish port of Yalova to the Greek port of Lavrion in 9M2021, and 5,220 in the opposite direction, the Turkish Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure told Trend on Nov. 22.
According to the ministry, the transshipment of vehicles between the two ports during this period amounted to 11,047.
It is reported that the ports of Turkey in 9M2021 handled 1.5 million vehicles.
In the first nine months of this year, Turkish ports handled over 1.5 million vehicles, and Ro-Ro ships delivered 933,445 vehicles to the ports.
Some 572,609 vehicles were sent from the ports of Turkey by Ro-Ro ships in 9M2021.
In September of this year, Turkish ports handled a total of 160,501 vehicles, and Ro-Ro ships delivered 107,192 vehicles to the ports.
Meanwhile, 53,309 vehicles were sent from the Turkish ports.
