Turkey shares data on cargo shipments at Izmir Adnan Menderes Airport in 10M2021

The cargo turnover of Adnan Menderes Airport in the Turkish province of Izmir in 10M2021 increased by 27 percent compared to the same period last year - up to 64,477 tons, the Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure of Turkey told Trend on Nov. 22.

According to the ministry, during the reporting period, the airport's cargo turnover on domestic flights amounted to 42,957 tons (an increase of 30 percent compared to 10M2020), on international flights - 21,520 tons (an increase of 22 percent).

Also, the passenger traffic at the airport amounted to 6,273,944 people, which is 31 percent more than in 10M2020. At the same time, the passenger traffic on domestic flights amounted to 4,719,934 people (an increase of 23 percent), on international - 1,554 people (an increase of 67 percent).

The ministry noted that the number of flights operated amounted to 48,660, which is 24 percent more than in 10M2020. At the same time, the number of flights operated on domestic routes amounted to 35,635 (an increase of 17 percent), on international - 13,025 (an increase of 45 percent).

According to the results of 10M2021, the passenger traffic at all airports in Turkey amounted to 106,959,783 people, and the cargo turnover - 2,805,153 tons.
