Turkey reveals transshipment of oil products via local ports in January 2022

Turkish ports handled 6,624,821 tons of oil products in January 2022, the Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure of Turkey told Trend.

Ships under the Turkish flag transported 230,318 tons of oil products via domestic ports, and ships flying the flags of other countries – 6,394,203 tons.

Meanwhile, 4,112,227 tons of oil products transited through the ports of Turkey.

Following the results of 2021, Turkish ports transshipped 66,285,405 tons of oil products.

During this period, ships flying the Turkish flag handled 3,000,509 tons of oil products through domestic ports, and ships under the flags of other countries - 63,284,896 tons.

In 2021, 48,173,322 tons of oil products transited through the ports of Turkey.

Turkish ports handled 33,337,392 tons of freight in January 2022.

Freight traffic by Turkish-flagged vessels amounted to 2,406,438 tons, whereas cargo transshipment by ships flying the flag of other countries totaled 30,930,954 tons.

Furthermore, Turkey transported 7,688,129 tons of transit cargo via its ports during this period.

In general, Turkey transported 386,396,718 tons of cargo in 2021 via its ports.

During the reporting period, cargo transportation by ships under the flag of Turkey through domestic ports amounted to 29,999,196 tons, and by ships under the flags of other countries reached 356,397,522 tons.

In addition, Turkish ports transshipped 78,008,944 tons of transit cargo in 2021.
