Cargo turnover of Istanbul Sabiha Gokcen International Airport amounted to 49,509 tons in February 2022, which is 87 percent more than the same month in 2021, Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure of Turkey told Trend.
Airport's cargo turnover on domestic flights amounted to 16,908 tons (an increase of four percent compared to February 2021), on international flights - 32,600 tons (an increase of 2.1 times) during this period.
Meanwhile, passenger traffic at the airport amounted to 4.1 million people, which is 58 percent more than in February 2021. Passenger traffic on domestic flights amounted to 2.1 million people (an increase of 14 percent), on international flights – 2 million people (an increase of 1.6 times) at the same time.
Number of flights performed in February 2022 amounted to 29,421, which is 46 percent more than in February 2021. Number of flights performed on domestic routes amounted to 14,352 (an increase of 11 percent), on international routes - 15,069 (an increase of 1.1 times).
Passenger traffic at all airports in Turkey amounted to 18.6 million people and cargo turnover - 472,761 tons in February 2022.
