Antalya Airport announces passenger traffic volume for August

BAKU, Azerbaijan, September 12. The number of passengers arriving at Antalya International Airport in Türkiye increased by 21 percent and amounted to 24.8 million people in August 2023, the Turkish Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure said, Trend reports.

According to the information, the airport's passenger turnover on domestic flights increased by nine percent and amounted to 4.2 million people in August, and on international flights, by 20 percent, reaching 19.9 million people.

The airport's cargo turnover amounted to 294,037 tons, an increase of 13 percent in August of this year compared to the same period in 2022. In addition, the airport's cargo turnover on domestic flights increased by three percent and amounted to 40,698 tons in August 2023 year-on-year, and on international flights, it increased by 15 percent and amounted to 253,339 tons compared to the same period.

According to the ministry, the number of flights at the airport increased by 17 percent and amounted to 152,492 in August 2023 compared to the same period in 2022. Moreover, the number of domestic flights increased by nine percent (30,642) and the number of international flights by 19 percent (121,850).

Passenger traffic at all airports in Türkiye amounted to 143.2 million people, and cargo turnover - 2.7 million tons in August 2023.

In general, passenger traffic at all airports in Türkiye amounted to 181.9 million people, and cargo turnover was 4.4 million tons in 2022.
