BAKU, Azerbaijan, September 15. The number of passengers arriving at Trabzon International Airport in Türkiye increased by 12 percent to 2.5 million in August 2023, Trend reports.
The data of the Ministry of Transportation and Infrastructure of Türkiye shows that, the airport's passenger turnover on domestic flights increased by 7 percent in August and amounted to 1.8 million people, and on international flights - by 29 percent to 699,406 people.
The airport's cargo turnover in August this year amounted to 27,710 tons, up 5 percent year-on-year. The airport's cargo turnover for domestic flights decreased by 4 percent year-on-year to 15,567 tons, and for international flights decreased by 21 percent year-on-year to 11,743 tons.
According to the information, the number of flights operated from the airport in August 2023 increased by 17 percent year-on-year and amounted to 19,139.
At the same time, the number of flights performed on domestic flights increased by 12 percent to 12,862, and on international flights by 29 percent to 6,277.
