BAKU, Azerbaijan, December 2. The Alijan border checkpoint on the Turkish-Armenian border is ready for operation, the Armenian Foreign Ministry said, Trend reports.
"Yerevan anticipates encouraging signals from Türkiye regarding the opening of the border to third-country people and those possessing diplomatic passports," the ministry said.
Armenian media recently reported that the Armenian government planned to construct a customs station at its section of the Alijan border checkpoint on the Turkish border.
The inclusion of this decision in the agenda of the Armenian government session was also emphasized.
