BAKU, Azerbaijan, April 12. The number of passengers who arrived at the Dalaman International Airport in Turkish Mugla city grew by one percent in March 2024 year on year to 255,937 people, the Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure of Türkiye said, Trend reports.
The ministry's data showed that the airport's passenger traffic on domestic flights over the reporting month increased by four percent from the same month in 2023 and amounted to 210,547 people, and on international flights, it dropped by 12 percent to 1.45 million people.
Meanwhile, the airport's cargo turnover totaled 2,810 tons, with no change compared to March of last year.
Of this volume, 1,562 tons accounted for domestic air cargo traffic (up three percent) and 519 tons for international cargo traffic (a seven percent decrease).
Furthermore, 3,624 flights from the airport were implemented in March 2024, which was 12 percent less than in the same month of 2023. In addition, the number of domestic flights amounted to 3,224 (down 11 percent), whereas international flights – 400 (a decrease of 21 percent).
Passenger traffic at all Turkish airports exceeded 43.8 million people in the reporting month, and cargo turnover - 1.9 million tons.
In 2023, the volume of passenger traffic at all Turkish airports amounted to 214.59 million people, and cargo turnover - 211,507 tons.
