BAKU, Azerbaijan, April 13. The number of passengers arriving at Türkiye's Mugla Milas-Bodrum International Airport increased by 12 percent year-on-year to 295,727 in March 2024, the Turkish Ministry of Transportation and Infrastructure said, Trend reports.
According to the ministry, the airport's passenger turnover for domestic flights climbed by 13 percent in March 2024 compared to the same time in 2023, totaling 284,883 people, while foreign flights declined by 8 percent to 10,844 people.
The airport's cargo turnover in March 2024 was 1,195 tons, up 12 percent over the same time in 2023. In March 2024, the airport's cargo turnover for domestic flights climbed by 13 percent compared to the same period in 2023, reaching 1,916 tons, while international flights declined by 8 percent to 78 tons.
The figures show that the number of flights from the airport increased by 3 percent from March 2023 to March 2024, totaling 3,624. At the same time, the number of domestic flights climbed by 3 percent and reached 3,196, while the number of international flights declined by 1 percent to 175.
Meanwhile, passenger traffic at all Turkish airports in March this year totaled 43.8 million passengers, with cargo turnover of 1 million tons.
To note, passenger traffic at all Turkish airports in 2023 was 214 million persons, with cargo turnover of 4.2 million tons.
