In March 2024, the number of passengers arriving at Türkiye's Adana Sakirpasa International Airport increased by 31 percent compared to the same period last year and amounted to 1.2 million people, Trend reports via the Turkish Ministry of Transportation and Infrastructure.
It was noted that in March 2024, the airport's passenger turnover on domestic flights increased by 29 percent compared to the same period in 2023 and amounted to more than one million people, and on international flights, it increased by 44 percent and amounted to 195,327 people.
The airport's cargo turnover in March 2024 totaled 11,919 tons, an increase of 22 percent compared to the same period in 2023.
In addition, in March 2024, the airport's cargo turnover for domestic flights increased by 22 percent compared to the same period in 2023 and amounted to 9,094 tons, and for international flights, it increased by 25 percent compared to the same period and amounted to 2,825 tons.
According to the information, the number of departures from the airport in March 2024 increased by two percent compared to March 2023 and amounted to 11,076. At the same time, the number of completed departures on domestic flights increased by 3 percent and amounted to 9,421, and on international flights, by five percent and amounted to more than one million.
In March this year, passenger traffic at all airports in Türkiye amounted to 43.8 million people, while cargo turnover amounted to more than one million tons.
In 2023, passenger traffic at all airports in Türkiye reached 214 million people, and cargo turnover amounted to 4.2 million tons.
