Turkish foreign minister due in Serbia for BSEC Foreign Ministers' meeting

(Cihan) - Turkish Foreign Minister Abdullah Gul is to leave for Serbia to represent Turkey in the Black Sea Economic Cooperation (BSEC) Foreign Ministers' meeting.

Serbian capital Belgrade is set to host the 16th meeting at the foreign ministers level on Thursday.

Established in 1992, the 12-member regional economic organization covers a geography encompassing the territories of the Black Sea littoral States, the Balkans and the Caucasus with an area of nearly 20 million square kilometers

In June 2007, heads of states and governments of BSEC member states will convene in Istanbul, while the organization will celebrate its 15th anniversary.
