Participants of the 1st Forum of Heads of Diaspora Organizations of Member Countries of the Cooperation Council of Turkic-Speaking States have made an appeal to the presidents of Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan and Turkey - Ilham Aliyev, Nursultan Nazarbayev, Almazbek Atambayev and Abdullah Gul.
The document states that during the discussions, forum participants once again got added evidence that issues such as the protection and promotion of common values of Turkic peoples in the international arena, integration into the community of Turkic-speaking peoples living in different countries, provision of rights and freedoms constitute priorities for joint actions.
"The problems experienced by Turkic states under the condition of globalization, solution of a number of crucial problems, informing the world community about its realities, restoration of justice, peace and security in accordance with the norms of international law are the major challenges facing us. Our joint activity involves not only ensuring political interests, but establishment of bilateral and multilateral relations in the economic and cultural spheres as well as intensification of the struggle against the negative trends of concern to all of humanity. We will make every effort to further strengthen interests of Turkic-speaking states based on mutual respect, cooperation, common values, traditional friendship and brotherhood that exist throughout history," the statement says.
Referring to the heads of state, participants of the forum assured them that they will make every effort to unite more closely and ensure the unity of the Turkic-speaking peoples, protect the interests and undertake the tasks assigned.
"The continued support of the heads of Turkic-speaking countries, special attention and care encourages us to undertake this honorable mission. By appealing to you, the heads of Turkic-speaking countries, we, the leaders of Diaspora organizations of Member Countries of the Cooperation Council of Turkic Speaking-States, declare our support for your activities in the common interest of the Turkic world. We believe that the preservation of friendship and brotherhood between our two countries will contribute to the provision of general interest and welfare of the Turkic-speaking peoples," the statement says.
