Market share of the Android operating system (OS) has increased by 6.1 percent in Azerbaijan in January-October 2016, according to the Global Stats statistical center.
Android is the most popular operating system in Azerbaijan. As of Nov. 1, 2016, Android ranks the first in the country’s OS market with a share of 38 percent, which is by 2 percent less than in the same period of 2015.
According to Global Stats, in ten months of 2016, the market share of Microsoft Windows 7 OS decreased by 8.8 percent in Azerbaijan. Windows 7 ranks the second with a share of 28.7 percent in the country’s OS market. The share of Windows 7 decreased by 7.4 percent in Azerbaijan’s OS market in January-October 2016, as compared to the same period of 2015.
iOS takes the third position with a market share of 9.5 percent, which is by 6 percent less than in the same period of 2015.
iOS is followed by Windows 10 – 4.78 percent, Windows 8.1 – 3.86 percent, Windows XP – 3.08 percent, Windows 8 – 2.31 percent and other operating systems.
