Azerenerji is conducting repairs on a thermal power station in Mingachevir, was reported to Trend.
The problems in work of Azerbaijani thermal power station in Mingachevir were due to rain and lightning, resulting fire on 330 kilovolt substation, the Azerenerji report said on Friday.
The air key and 330 kilovolt transformer were damaged due to lightning. Damage of emergency equipment resulted with disruptions in the work of the station.
"Repair work is being held in order to completely retrieve the work of the station", Azerenerji stated.
Most regions of Baku, as well as other regions of Azerbaijan experienced problems in electric power supply starting 7 a.m., which are due to the failure in the work of energy generating capacities.
The problems also affected the work of Baku underground, traffic lights and internet.
Due to measures taken within shortest period of time, electric energy supply was retrieved in Baku and Azerbaijani regions.
The supply of electric power to consumers has been restored by 8 a.m.
