Trend:

The new cabinet of ministers of Kyrgyzstan, led by Prime Minister Temir Sariyev, swore in on Nov. 6 in front of the Kyrgyz parliament and president, RIA Novosti reported.

On Nov. 5, the parliament elected Temir Sariyev as the country's prime minister, and also approved the structure and composition of the new cabinet of ministers proposed by Sariyev.

Kyrgyzstan is a parliamentary republic, where the government and its head are elected by the ruling majority in the parliament.

The same day, the President of Kyrgyzstan Almazbek Atambayev signed a decree appointing the prime minister and his cabinet to the new posts.

Sariyev's cabinet of ministers was formed by the previous convocation of the parliament in early May.

On Nov. 2, the ruling coalition in the Kyrgyz parliament again proposed Sariyev's candidacy for the position of prime minister.

Political analysts believe that the decision to leave the current prime minister in his post, at least until the spring, is due to the ongoing process of Kyrgyzstan's accession to EEU and the upcoming winter heating season, which was closely dealt by the current cabinet of ministers during the past six months.
