Tehran, Iran, December 18

The closure of the possible military dimensions (PMD) of Iran's nuclear program is a valuable achievement, Speaker of the Iranian Parliament Ali Larijani said, ISNA news agency reported Dec. 18.
The nuclear talks were introduced into a new phase as Iran's right to nuclear enrichment was recognized, he said.
He went on to add that although there may be some problems about the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA), a lot of effort has been put into it to safeguard the Islamic Republic's interests.
"We are hopeful that as the oppressing sanctions against our country are lifted in the result of the advancements made in the nuclear case, a big hurdle against Iran's economic activities will be also lifted," he said.
Larijani expressed hope that the oil prices and Iran's oil output will increase in the post-sanctions era.
Earlier this week, the IAEA Board of Governors approved a resolution proposed by the group 5+1 (the US, UK, France, Russia, China, and Germany) to close the PMD case as a necessary step before implementing the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA).
