Some 18 militants of the terrorist Kurdistan Workers' Party (PKK) were killed during a special operation held by Turkish militaries in the province of Sirnak, TRT Haber TV channel reported on Monday.
According to the report, the militants planned attacks on various state agencies in the province.
The conflict between Turkey and the PKK has lasted for over 25 years. The PKK is recognised as a terrorist organisation by both the UN and the EU.
