Vanuatu's new government annuled the decision of the former government to recognize Abkhazia's independence, Georgian Foreign Ministry official Zurab Aleksidze told media.
He said the new government has disseminated an official press release.
It says the new government annuled the previous decision to recognize Abkhazia.
"Thus, this fact confirms the position of the current government, which supports the territorial integrity of Georgia within its internationally recognized borders," Aleksidze said.
He stressed that this fact also confirms that the decision of the previous government was a misunderstanding.
