World powers have been at enmity with Iran for 32 years and they have "vaccinated" Iran against sanctions. Sanctions cannot harm Iran, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei said at a meeting with the participants of an international conference.
The Western powers have recently tightened the sanctions and created a stir over Iran. However, they do not understand that they "immunize" the Iranian people from the sanctions for 30 years, Khamenei said.
"Today Iran is much stronger than 30 years ago," Khamenei said.
If the wave of Islamic awakening continues, it will lead to great changes in the world. The Zionists with the powers supporting them will be forced to leave the Muslim peoples alone, Khamenei said.
Khamenei spoke about the role of women in the Islamic awakening and urged the conference participants to implement a true image of Muslim women whom the enemies are trying to destroy.
The International Conference "Women and Islamic awakening" started in Tehran on Tuesday. More than a thousand representatives of various professions from 85 countries worldwide attend it.
