The establishment of the Azerbaijani Turkish paramilitary forces has been proposed.
The proposal was made during the meeting of Parliamentary Committee on Security and Defense, the committee member, parliamentary deputy Zahid Oruj said to Trend.
"The paramilitary forces, established as troops and regiments could conduct military exercises", Oruj said.
The deputy's proposal was welcomed by Committee on Security and Defense members at the meeting on Tuesday.
"The committee members noted, that establishment of such paramilitary forces could be carried out without new law, based on the acting law, issued on January 19 2011 and confirming the agreement on 'Strategic partnership and mutual assistance between Azerbaijan and Turkey'," the deputy said.
The strategic partnership agreement consists of 23 articles.
