Iran will create a squadron of pilotless planes for border troops to strengthen control over its borders, Iran's police chief, General Ismail Ahmadi Moghaddam said on Wednesday, Iranian Mehr news agency reported.
To strengthen air control over the country's eastern borders, a drone squadron will be created for border troops in Sistan and Baluchistan, Moghaddam said.
He said this year the state allocated $85 million to strengthen border security in order to strengthen the fight against drugs.
