Embassy of Kazakhstan opened in Finland, Kazakh Foreign Ministry said.
"Embassy of Kazakhstan was opened in the capital of Finland - Helsinki. The first meeting of the country's ambassador to this country Galymzhan Koyshybayev with representatives of the Kazakh Diaspora in Finland was held here," the report says.
At present, according to various estimates, about 300 ethnic Kazakhs live in Finland.
"In their speeches, representatives of Diaspora welcomed the opening of Kazakh diplomatic mission in Finland. They proposed the establishment of Kazakh national cultural association in Finland, one of the functions of which will be familiarization with the Kazakh culture and teaching mother language to children and young people," the report says.
