The Ambassador of Uzbekistan to South Korea Vitaliy Fen has completed his diplomatic mission in the country, a South Korean media outlet reported.
According to the report, Fen worked in South Korea for 18 years. He arrived in Seoul in 1995 with the task of opening the Uzbekistan embassy. In 1995-1999 he worked as Charge d'Affaires of Uzbekistan in South Korea and in November, 1999 he became ambassador at the Uzbekistan embassy.
The Uzbek ambassador played a key role in developing relations between the two countries, the South Korean media outlet noted. Starting from 1992 he participated in organising 12 meetings between Uzbek and South Korean presidents.
