Iran's President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad says arrogant powers are not afraid of atomic bombs but fear the scientific alertness and innovation of the Iranian nation, Press TV reported.

Arrogant powers are against the scientific move of the Iranian nation because they know that progress of Iranians would have a major impact on all international equations and would turn them into a power that will transform tyrannical relations, IRNA quoted the Iranian president as saying on Wednesday.

"Arrogant powers are aware of the historical background of the Iranian nation and they are also know the impact scientific knowledge can have on the innovation and might of a nation," he added during a ceremony to unveil five national projects to produce radio medicine needed for treating cancer patients.

The Iranian chief executive emphasized that the Iranian nation's move towards scientific progress would be continued to conquer the highest peaks of science.

"The Iranian nation will change all tyrannical equations in favor of humanity," he went on to say.

President Ahmadinejad praised great capabilities of Iranian scientists and said the Islamic Republic seized the opportunity to achieve self-sufficiency over the past 31 years.
