Clashes hit Syrian-Turkish border

Clashes between Syrian security forces and armed opposition took place on the Syrian-Turkish border this night, Al-Jazeera TV channel reported. Several opposition members were injured.

In addition, according to Al Jazeera, 25 people were killed as a result of a night shelling of Syrian cities by the army.

Many Syrian refugees and opposition members took refuge in Turkey. Tent cities have been set up for refugees, whose number exceeds 30,000 people.

Syria has been covered by anti-government speeches for more than a year resulting in violent clashes. According to UN figures, the total number of victims in the country exceeds 10,000. In turn, the Syrian authorities say the number of those killed in clashes was over 2000 soldiers and police officers against whom there are well-armed militants.
