Head of Majlis National Security and Foreign Policy Commission Alaeddin Boroujerdi said Islam is a strategy for Muslim states and Iran is strongly opposed to radicalism in the region, IRNA reported.
On the sidelines of the 9th conference of Parliamentary Union of OIC member states, the Morocco's parliamentary delegation met with Boroujerdi here on Wednesday.
In the meeting, Boroujerdi referred to extensive historical commonalities between Iran and Morocco and underlined development and strengthening of bilateral ties, especially between the two parliaments.
Boroujerdi, by condemning recent terrorist blasts in Beirut, expressed sorrow concerning such incidents, adding that both countries are opposed to such terrorist acts in the region.
The Morocco parliamentary delegation also referred to friendly ties between the two countries and underlined expansion of relations in all fields.
The delegation also talked on promotion of ties between Iran and Morocco, using capacities of the two countries, especially in issues of mutual interest in regional and international affairs such as Lebanon and Syria.
