Ukraine, Kiev, 11April / Trend corr Z.Novosvitski / The Ukrainian President Viktor Yushenko will visit Azerbaijan after the Energy summit in Kiev. The summit will be held in Kiev on 22 and 23 May 2008, Talat Aliyev, Azerbaijani Ambassador in Ukraine, stated to Trend .
Previously, it was reported that the monument dedicated to the Ukrainian poet Taras Shevchenko would be unveiled during Yushenko's visit to Azerbaijan. "I believe that Yushenko's visit to Azerbaijan and the unveiling of the monument will be held after the summit," Aliyev stated. According to the Ambassador, presently, Yushenko's visit to Azerbaijan has been agreed through diplomatic channels.
"We expect the Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev will pay an official visit to Ukraine on 21 May to attend in the Energy summit," Aliyev noted.
The Ambassador stated that the visit of the Ukrainian Prime Minister Yulia Timoshenko to Azerbaijan is being discussed.
