Delimitation of Russian-Azerbaijani borders discussed in Moscow
Russia, Moscow, Dec. 22/ Trend corr. R.Agayev / The basic topic discussed during the visit of the Deputy Foreign Minister of Azerbaijan, Khalaf Khalafov, to Moscow and his meeting with the Russian side was the question of delimitation of the Russian-Azerbaijani borders and preparation for the upcoming meeting of the bilateral commission, a source at the Foreign Ministry of Russia told Trend .
The Ministry said that Khalafov also had thorough talks with the newly-appointed Russian co-chairman of the Azerbaijani-Russian commission for border delimitation, Vadim Posnov, which also focused on the question of preparation for the upcoming meeting of the bilateral commission.
The information and press department of the Foreign Ministry of Russia said that the talk of G.Karasin, Secretary of State - Deputy Foreign Minister of Russia, with Khalafov was held on Dec. 22 in Moscow. During the talks, some actual issues of Russian-Azerbaijani relations were discussed.
Azerbaijani Deputy Foreign Minister also held a meeting with Stanislav Ananyev, Deputy Minister of Natural Resources and Ecology of Russia. The meeting covered the issues on interaction of the two countries with regards to ecology and management of nature as well as rational use of water resources.
