Chairman of the OSCE Parliamentary Assembly Joao Soares will visit Azerbaijan in July, chairman of the Azerbaijani parliamentary committee and member of the ruling New Azerbaijan Party Political Council Eldar Ibrahimov said.
"Soares said he will pay first foreign visit to Azerbaijan after PA session to be held in Lithuania. Soares is expected to come to Azerbaijan together with OSCE PA special representative on Nagorno-Karabakh Goran Lenn-Marker," Ibrahimov said.
Azerbaijani member of parliament met with the OSCE PA chairman at organization's meeting in Dublin.
Portuguese Joao Soares was elected to the chairmanship of the OSCE Parliamentary Assembly at the 17th annual session of the international organization in July 2008.
Suarez has worked for the OSCE PA since 2002. He led the Portuguese delegation to the PA and was a member of the OSCE Office from July 2006.
