Development of bilateral relations between Azerbaijan and Japan will be discussed in Tokyo.
Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Elmar Mammadyarov will pay a working visit to Japan on June 15-21, Foreign Ministry press service said.
Mammadyarov is expected to meet with Japanese Prime Minister Taro Aso, Crown Prince Naruhito, Head of the Azerbaijan-Japan friendship council Akira Amari, Japanese Foreign Minister Hirofumi Nakasone and members of Azerbaijan-Japan joint economic commission.
The meetings will focus on current situation, development prospects and future plans.
Mammadyarov will deliver a speech at the Japan International Relations Institute and to meet with representatives of local media.
