A court issued a decision on military men charged with leaving military unit without permission and blackmail.
Military Court on Serious Crimes sentenced junior sergeants Rustam Mustafayev and Elvin Novruzov, who served in Gusar military unit, to 5.5 and 6.5 years in jail respectively.
According to materials of the criminal case, a mass scuffle took place among soldiers at the military unit in early December.
However, management was not aware of it.
Junior sergeants threatened soldiers to tell about the scuffle to management and demanded money instead.
After some time soldiers told the management about the actions of junior sergeants.
Investigation was launched into the fact later. The military men were arrested.
