Production association "Teleradio" of Ministry of Communications and Information Technologies of Azerbaijan is working to upgrade the antenna-feeder system of the Baku television tower, the PA told Trend on Wednesday.
"The work in this direction, as well as the installation of necessary technical equipment in Ganja will be completed by the end of the month" the PA said.
Baku Telephone Communication's work on creation of a fiber-optic infrastructure to provide an alternative connection from the Baku Crystal Hall to the Baku television towers has been completed, the PA told Trend earlier.
The line extends in the direction of the Public Television (ITV) office and TV stations in Ganja.
The works include the organization of a broadcast in high definition (HD TV) between Baku and Frankfurt, as well as the organization of broadcast digital television infrastructure over the Trans-Asia-Europe cable line.
TV Broadcast in Baku and Absheron peninsula will be fully digitized by May, the Ministry said previously.
TV and radio channels in HD will also be launched.
