Next Cooperation Council of Turkic-speaking countries summit to be held in Azerbaijan

The next summit of the Cooperation Council of Turkic Speaking States (CCTS) will be held in Azerbaijan, President of Kyrgyzstan Almazbek Atambayev said on Thursday during a council meeting, held in Bishkek, KyrTAG reported.

The next summit of the Cooperation Council of Turkic Speaking States (CCTS) will be held in Azerbaijan, President of Kyrgyzstan Almazbek Atambayev said on Thursday during a council meeting, held in Bishkek, KyrTAG reported.

The heads of states, members of the council, approved all the documents prepared for signing at the summit in Bishkek at the preliminary meeting.

"We agreed on all the documents that must be signed. We can move immediately to the signing of documents," the president of Kyrgyzstan said.

"Kazakhstan has proposed the ideas and we will make important political and economic decisions next year," Atambayev said. The Kyrgyz president thanked Kazakhstan for its fruitful work in the role of the host state of the CCTS.

"Now the chairmanship passes to Kyrgyzstan and the next summit will be held in Azerbaijan," Atambayev said.

Azerbaijani Prime Minister Artur Rasizade from the Azerbaijani side will take part at the event.

Before the summit there were meetings of ministers of culture and education of Turkic states and ministers of the economy as well as foreign ministers. As a result of all these meetings, recommendations to this summit were made.
