The State Agency for Public Services and Social Innovations under the Azerbaijani President ( ASAN xidmet) has launched the Microsoft Volume Licensing program providing software for workstations, head of Microsoft mission in Azerbaijan Rufat Gadzhialibekov said at a press conference on Tuesday.
"The work is carried out in accordance with the volume licensing program Microsoft Enterprise Agreement," Gadzhialibekov said.
The licensing program envisages acquisition of licenses for using updated versions of software for the entire fleet of workstations and servers of the structure. Microsoft Enterprise Agreement will enable purchase of licenses for permanent use by installments for a period of three years with annual payments.
The benefit of volume licensing is the opportunity to use the latest versions of software, all updates and patches with provided security of the information system and its constant development in line with global trends.
"As for our interest in ASAN-Xidmet, it covers the e-government projects that will be implemented by the agency. Microsoft has a number of products for this kind of projects, such as Share Point, Link, corporate products System Center, Hyper- V and others. We are interested in introduction of Azerbaijani software solutions developers' projects based on the Microsoft. NET basis, rather than, attraction of foreign companies " Gadzhialibekov said.
