As of January-May, the e-commerce market amounted to 901,100 manat in Azerbaijan, the Azerbaijani State Statistics Committee reported on Wednesday.
The total retail trade volume increased by 1.8 times in Azerbaijan compared to the same period of last year.
E-commerce participants are legal and physical entities engaged in e-commerce, as well as consumers of goods and services.
Around 93.6 percent (843,200 manat) of the total volume of sold goods fell under food products.
The total retail trade volume was 7.5 billion manat in Azerbaijan over the past period. Consumer goods were sold at 8.8 percent more compared to the same period of last year.
The official exchange rate was 0.7846 AZN/USD for June 13.
