Azerbaijan, Baku, Oct. 28 / Trend H. Valiyev /
The U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID) is preparing to implement a large-scale project in the field of information and communication technologies in Azerbaijan, a source at the telecommunication market told Trend today.
According to the source, the project that is expected to be launched by late 2014 is aimed at creating the effective relations between the government and the civil society.
The project will last for five years and will be funded by USAID.
"The project directions will be determined in 2014. Presumably it will focus on using the information technologies in management, organizing the activity of municipal institutions in the online mode and so on," the source said.
The project envisages a comprehensive approach - from broad using of new technologies, the introduction of technologies based on mobile solutions, a complete shift of media to electronic media, the source said.
