Presentation of mobile e-signature of Azerbaijan to be conducted at EU Parliament

The mobile digital signature "Asan imza" of Azerbaijan will be demonstrated at the European Parliament in Brussels, the Ministry of Taxes of Azerbaijan told Trend on Feb. 3.

Representatives of the Euro parliament, business-structures, and the delegation of the Azerbaijani Ministry of Taxes headed by Minister Fazil Mamedov, will participate in the presentation of "Asan imza", which will be conducted on Feb. 19, according to the Ministry.
Specialists of the Ministry of Taxes will demonstrate the software for implementing operations using a digital signature.

The Mobile e-signature "Asan imza" is intended for use in personal and portable computers and data tablets. It is possible to use a subscriber's mobile number, which has two versions of Pin-codes, for utilizing an e-signature. One of them is for confirmation and authenticity, the second one is for signing a document. After completing the operation, a subscriber gets the confirmation of the completed operation.

According to the Ministry, "Asan imza" e-signature corresponds to the directives of the European Union.

The center of certificate services "Asan", created in accordance with the order of the Ministry of Taxes, gives certificates for authenticity and digital signatures for mobile SIM-cards and other services providing the usage of certificates and judicially obligatory digital signatures by state structures, private sectors and citizens. The platform of the center of the mobile signature "Asan imza" has been integrated with the platform of operators of the Azerbaijani mobile communications "Azercell telecom" and "Bakcell".

To use the mobile digital signature, it is necessary to change SIM-cards. The work on integration with the platform of the operator "Azerfon" (trade mark " NarMobile") is nearly complete.

The implementation of the mobile e-signature in Azerbaijan started in May 2013.
